Seeking a facility maintenance technician that is a skilled professional responsible for the minor repair, and optimal functioning of commercial and retail spaces. Performing a mix of routine repairs, and emergency repairs across multiple disciplines such as basic handyman repairs, basic carpentry, minor plumbing, and minor electrical.
Core Responsibilities
- Carpentry: Lubricate doors, repair cabinets, install flooring, install signage, etc.
- Electrical: Replace light fixtures, etc.
- Plumbing: Leaky faucets, clogged drains, toilets.
- HVAC: replace filters, program thermostats
General Upkeep: Perform "unit turns" or cosmetic repairs such as painting, drywall patching, and furniture assembly.
Documentation & Coordination: Track work orders, manage inventory of parts
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC trades.
Tool Proficiency: Skill in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Communication: Ability to read plans and communicate effectively with staff and clients.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose root causes of building issues, mechanical or electrical issues and formulate clear reports.
Physical Stamina: Capability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work in varied environments and 90% of travel
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typical, often with specialized vocational training or work experience.
Salary: Commensurate with experience, company vehicle provided. Bonus structure available.
