We are seeking an experienced Paralegal/Legal Secretary with at least 2 years of legal experience to provide critical support to multiple attorneys managing a fast-paced, high-volume caseload. Key Responsibilities
As a valued member of our legal team, you will:
- Review and organize case files to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare correspondence, pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), and Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs).
- Manage attorney calendars, incoming mail, deadlines, and daily workflow.
- Handle time entry and billing with precision and timeliness.
- Monitor case progress and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
- Navigate New Jersey and New York court procedures, including electronic filing requirements.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Successful candidates will possess:
- Minimum of 2 years of Paralegal or Legal Secretary experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of New Jersey and New York court rules and procedures, including E-filing.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-through skills.
Bachelor's degree required.
Paralegal certification is a plus.
