Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Analyze project requirements: Review drawings, specifications, and customer requests to understand scope and complexity
- Prepare cost estimates: Calculate material, labor, machine time, and subcontracting costs for custom parts and assemblies.
- Develop quotes: Create detailed proposals and pricing for customers, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
- Vendor coordination: Obtain pricing from suppliers for raw materials, tooling, and outsourced processes.
- Maintain cost database: Update and manage historical cost data for materials, labor rates, and machine operations.
- Collaborate with teams: Work with engineering and production to validate feasibility and lead times.
- Other duties may be assigned
Physical Requirement: Balancing; must have fine motor skills; some light lifting; the ability to do a repetitive motion; and the ability to sit for most of the day
Visual Requirement: Must be able to visually read documents and a computer screen
Hearing Requirement: Must be able to hear and speak on the phone and in person to convey information
