METER Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician who is responsible for programming, setting up, and maintaining automated equipment used in the production of electronic components and assemblies. This role works from our Pullman, WA office.
For informational purposes, the entire pay range for this role is $22.69-$33.52. However, we expect to make an offer at somewhere between $22.69 and $28.00. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Manufacturing
- 2 years of experience programming SMT or other electronics manufacturing
- Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB assembly processes, and
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Program and operate SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines, pick-and-place
- Program and operate machines outside of the SMT area
- Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and Gerber files to create accurate machine
- Perform machine setup, calibration, and first-article inspection to ensure proper
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine errors, component placement issues, and
- Collaborate with process engineers to optimize production workflows and reduce
- Maintain accurate documentation of machine programs, setup sheets, and
- Create and maintain production power BI dashboards
- Create SW as needed for production division, QA software, and answer PA
- Train operators and technicians on machine operation and best practices.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, ISO 9001) and safety
- Coordinate with Equipment Maintenance to identify fall downs in automated
