Job Details
" Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in a hospital setting
" Must have Level 1 trauma experience in an ICU Cardiovascular unit
" Preferably up to 1 year of experience in Level 1 trauma and travel nursing
" Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
" Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
" Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
" Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
" Administer medications as prescribed
" Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
" Interact with family and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
" Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel
" Delegate tasks to support staff
" Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
" Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
" Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
" Required certifications: Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association)
" Strong verbal and written communication skills required
" Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients
