What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Quality Assurance Tech. - 1st Shift position at MetalTek International?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description: Perform Inspection functions including
but not limited to: QA Releasing, Dimensional Inspection, Romer
Scanning, Gage Lab Operations and Fab/Weld/Upgrade Operations. Develop,
modify and document quality procedures in response to customer
specifications and quality plans. Assist in mapping of all fabricated
assemblies to meet quality and traceability requirements. Provide
expertise to other WC departments in metrology, statistical control and
quality planning. Investigate root causes and corrective actions of
customer complaints and returns, as well as determine solutions and
generate preventive action reports for customers. Review and interpret
customer drawings and specifications in cooperation with engineers and
other WC staff. Resolve quality compliance problems in collaboration
with other WC departments and coordinating compliance resolution
efforts. Perform quality review and release of repaired castings.
Function as a backup for the Weld Coordinator as necessary. Performs
other duties as assigned. Requirements: Associate degree in a technical
field, or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 3 years of quality
assurance experience. Demonstrated Geometric Dimensioning and
Tolerancing (GD&T) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) knowledge.
Demonstrated knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets.
Demonstrated logical and systematical thinking, interpersonal,
communication and writing skills and ability to build collaborative
