What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool and Die position at Metalsa Career Site?
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on progressive, transfer, blanking, or line dies used in metal stamping or aluminum production
- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble dies to ensure optimal performance
- Perform TIG welding repairs and modifications on dies and tooling
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Conduct preventive and corrective die maintenance to reduce downtime
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and tooling drawings
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve die performance
- Operate manual machining equipment (e.g., grinders, mills) as needed

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of die maintenance experience in metal stamping, aluminum, or mold making
- Journeyman tool and die certification highly preferred
- Strong TIG welding skills
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair progressive, transfer, or blanking dies
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
