Objective: Manage and lead all functions of materials planning and scheduling while achieving all KPIs
What does a day-in-the-life look like?
- Define the strategy of the operation model to supply the material services of the facility
- Define the roles and responsibilities in the team through development and training
- Production planning for the plant (assembly & press)
- Schedule Analysis and SIOP
- Customer Liaison-scorecard improvement
- Meeting Inventory Days on Hand KPI
- Meeting Cost of Logistics KPI
- Adjustments in Sales and Build Forecasting
- Promote continuous improvement while using scientific thinking (KATA)
- Focus on Metalsa Operating Standard
- Cycle count variation with root cause analysis
- Execute strategy roadmaps
- Implement and Lead Inventory Accuracy through scanning process through the plant
- Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change
What you will bring: Experience & Education
- Business Degree or 3 years’ experience in Logistics
- High school diploma
- Logistics/Supply chain or master scheduling experience- At least 3 yrs
- Proven inventory control experience
- Proven supervisory experience
Technical Skills
- Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
- Materials logistics skills
- Overall quality systems methodologies (IATF 16949)
- Value chain knowledge
- MRP systems (QAD, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience in the application of systems methodologies (Kanban, JIT, etc.)
Safety & Quality
- Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so.
- Report on all unsafe acts and conditions immediately
- Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant
- Be proactively involved with improving working conditions.
- Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them
- Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals
