We serve thousands of customers ranging from small start up companies to Fortune 500 companies. We are currently looking to fill a vacancy in our graphic art department. Artists prepare print ready artwork based on customer supplied requirements. Those requirements can range from rough sketches to detailed drawings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Generate electronic art files based on customer specifications
These files will be created using industry standard artwork software such as Adobe
Creative Suite
Files are called one-ups
2. Inspect one-ups for errors or discrepancies. Artists are responsible for inspecting their own work.
Artists are also responsible for inspecting the work of their peers
Inspection of peers artwork will be completed as assigned by the Art Department
Supervisor
3. Communicate discrepancies with customer drawings to the Art Department Supervisor and appropriate office personnel
4. Step and repeat artwork to prepare it for printing
Art will be output as film or an electronic file depending on the print process
5. All other duties as assigned**Must be able to complete a large quantity of artwork accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associates Degree in Graphic Design or similar field preferred
- Proficient in industry standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints
- Understand the concept of color separation
- Ability to flourish in a group setting
- Skill of effective communication
- Ability to match colors on generated artwork to specifications on the customer drawing

- The individual must be able to read fine details on customer supplied blueprints
- This position requires an employee to remain seated in front of a computer for long periods of time
WORK SCHEDULE:
The Graphic Artist position is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. The hours of this position are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Overtime is acceptable when needed and approved.
