Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead Agile transformation initiatives and drive the successful execution of one or more Agile Release Trains (ARTs) supporting strategic technology products and enterprise programs.
The ideal candidate will serve as a servant leader, coach, facilitator, and program manager responsible for aligning multiple Agile teams, stakeholders, and business units to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality solutions. This role requires strong expertise in Agile methodologies, SAFe practices, risk management, dependency management, release planning, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Coordinate cross-functional Agile teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Drive Agile transformation efforts and promote Agile/Lean best practices across the organization.
- Identify, assess, manage, and mitigate program-level risks, dependencies, and impediments.
- Monitor program execution, delivery metrics, and team performance.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, and leadership teams.
- Ensure successful planning and execution of releases across multiple teams.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and organizational Agile maturity.
- Track program milestones, budgets, deliverables, and resource utilization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Agile Program Management, Release Train Engineering, Agile Coaching, or related leadership roles.
- Strong experience in risk assessment, risk management, and mitigation planning.
- Extensive experience working within SAFe Agile Framework environments.
- Experience facilitating Program Increment (PI) Planning and Agile ceremonies.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe.
- Experience managing multiple Agile teams and enterprise-scale initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification.
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certification.
- PMP Certification.
- Agile Coach experience.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise Agile transformations.
