Job Overview

The Cash4Cars Administrator is responsible for correctly and proficiently monitoring and recording incoming scrap vehicles. This position will be required to maintain inventory records for production, move tags once vehicles have been processed, and funding parts sales. This position will be responsible for keeping the Cash4Cars and Core Buying spreadsheet up-to-date with current numbers. This position is customer-focused and fast-paced. Assists with dispatching tow trucks to pick up local scrap vehicles. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Bid on vehicles from auction sites (i.e. Gov Deals, Knights, Peddle, Wheelsaway).
• Maintaining inventory for production purposes, move tags once a car has been purchased, and funding parts sales.
• Thoroughly inspect car titles to ensure the validity of automobile purchases and process the titles accordingly, perform audits to ensure the titling process is in compliance with Company procedures.
• Build manifests for core companies and complete BOLs in the computer system.
• Finalize transfers from other yards to the Youngstown location.
• Print tags for vehicles to be processed, ensure the VIN number matches the tag for the vehicle.
• Maintain the Cash4Cars and core spreadsheet with up-to-date numbers.
• Use computer systems (ERP) to complete daily tasks.
• Count/order cash when necessary.
• Maintain the inventory and tracking system of catalytic convertors.
• >>>Ensure catalytic convertors are delivered to the Girard facility at the end of each business day.
• Guide drivers to offload material at the appropriate location in the yard.
• Maintain posting information on the Company’s Facebook page, such as posting yard closures for holidays, purchasing cars, replying to customers for potential sales, etc.
• Order miscellaneous items for the yard (i.e. pallets, office supplies, PPE, etc).
• Pick up tools and parts from local shops to ensure the yard continues to run efficiently.
• Ensure a timely shipment of products for customers is consistently achieved.
• >>> Package and deliver online parts sales to the local UPS store.
• Advertise retails parts for sale online and schedule the pickup of the parts.
• Answer incoming calls and emails pertaining to daily business.
• >>>Forward calls to management when necessary.
• Purchase vehicles from established methods and schedule pickup through a shared spreadsheet.
• Log all dispatching information into the established spreadsheet.
• Ensure Quality, Safety and Environmental Standards are met and achieved for production, customers and employees.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience.
• Positive attitude, polite.
• Willing to inspect material outside.
• Physical Demands: Lifting scrap material, sitting and standing for periods of time, etc.
• General knowledge of using an ERP system is preferred.
• Have proficient computer skills that include the use of software systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
• Work well under pressure.

Work Hours: The employee will work a Monday – Friday 45 hr work week. Hours and overtime will be required to meet production and business needs.
