Manual Machinist

Equipment Experience

·         Must be able to read blueprints, measure, layout and setup machine work accurately per the blueprint and perform the machine work using manual machines such as radial arm drills, engine lathes and horizontal and vertical milling machines.

·         Work with carbon steel, alloy steels, and other metals

·         Determine machining sequence and setup requirements

·         Follow machining specifications and work instructions

Inspection & Precision Measurement

·         Measure machined components using: Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges and Other precision measuring instruments

·         Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications

·         Maintain close tolerances and quality standards

·         Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical formulas and precision measuring techniques

·         Ability to produce accurate, quality workmanship consistently

Equipment Maintenance

·         Maintain machining equipment in proper working condition

·         Perform routine maintenance on machine tools

·         Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed

·         Report major repair or maintenance concerns to management

Safety & Housekeeping

·         Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

·         Follow OSHA and company safety standards

·         Properly use personal protective equipment

·         Handle materials and equipment safely

·         Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping practices within assigned areas

Team Collaboration

·         Work closely with engineers and supervisors

·         Collaborate with team members on fabrication and repair projects

·         Assist other departments when necessary to complete projects efficiently

·         Communicate production or quality concerns appropriately

·         Employee is expected to adhere to and uphold all company policies
