Metalcraft is looking for a Production Graphics Technician to join our team in Mason City. This position works with customer-provided artwork and prepares it for use in our manufacturing processes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience working in Adobe Illustrator and enjoys the technical side of graphics: preparing files, adjusting artwork, catching small details, and making sure everything is correct before it goes into production.

While there is a graphics component to the position, this is not a traditional marketing or creative design role. Most of the work involves taking existing customer artwork and preparing it accurately for manufacturing using established processes and specifications.

What You’ll Do

As a Production Graphics Technician, you will:

• Review customer artwork and prepare files for production
• Clean up, adjust, and recreate logos and other artwork as needed
• Create accurate, production-ready files using established procedures
• Review proofs and artwork for accuracy before production
• Work extensively in Adobe Illustrator, along with Adobe Photoshop and other software
• Maintain organized electronic files and artwork archives
• Work closely with production, quality, customer service, and other team members
• Help maintain equipment and support an efficient graphics workflow

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience using Adobe Illustrator is required for this position. Applicants should already be comfortable working within Illustrator and performing basic artwork and file manipulation. This is not an entry-level position where Adobe Illustrator will be taught from the beginning.

Additional qualifications include:

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop or other Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• Graphic arts education, production art experience, prepress experience, or similar background is helpful
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify small differences or errors in artwork
• Ability to follow established procedures and specifications
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing digital files
• Ability to work successfully in a structured, team-oriented manufacturing environment

Please note: Adobe Illustrator proficiency is an essential qualification for this position and may be assessed as part of the interview process.
