Job Requirement: Vessel Pipefitter (ASME Code)
We are seeking experienced Vessel Pipefitters to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair piping systems on pressure vessels in accordance with ASME codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication sketches
- Fabricate and install piping systems in compliance with ASME Section IX, B31.1/B31.3, and project specifications
- Measure, cut, bevel, fit, and tack pipes using appropriate tools and techniques
- Ensure correct alignment, fit-up, and tolerances prior to welding
- Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials
- Coordinate with welders, inspectors, and supervisors to meet quality and safety standards
- Follow all safety procedures and quality control requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter working on vessels or pressure systems
- Strong knowledge of ASME codes and piping standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with pipe sizes, schedules, fittings, flanges, and valves
- Familiarity with fit-up for welded joints (butt weld, socket weld, flange joints)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Relevant trade certification or qualification preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- asme pressure vessel experience
- Experience working with QA/QC and inspection procedures
- Valid safety certifications (as applicable)
