Metal Treaters Inc. has the longest continuous ownership in the metal treating industry serving Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. Although MTI began as a tool & die heat treater, the company now offers full service capabilities that include: Vacuum Processing of the Tool Steels, Induction, Carburizing, and Neutral Hardening. Job Summary: Perform functions on incoming orders necessary to get them into processing.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming orders and paperwork and note any discrepancies.
- Identify order and forward paperwork to order entry.
- Obtain shop traveler from order entry and locate proper order.
- Perform part identification procedures by prescribed company methods.
- Distribute orders to proper staging area for processing.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Assists Supervisor in training functions as directed.
- Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.
- Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.
- Participates in company sponsored training as required.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Additional Responsibilities: Assists with all shipping duties, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently.
- Ability to do basic counting and measurements.
- Ability to operate basic computer functions.
Working Conditions: Office and factory environment, may encounter dirt, dust, oil, processing chemicals and varying temperatures.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Considerable amount of walking, standing, and bending.
- Required to wear safety shoes.
Job status: Full-time with benefits.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
