Although MTI began as a tool & die heat treater, the company now offers full service capabilities that include: Vacuum Processing of the Tool Steels, Induction, Carburizing, and Neutral Hardening. Job Summary: Perform maintenance on mechanical/electrical equipment and on physical plant.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair duties on furnaces, ovens and other equipment as assigned by maintenance supervisor.
- Maintain appropriate records as instructed by supervisor.
- Keep current on preventive maintenance schedules.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance, as necessary.
- Welding duties, as needed.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Assists Supervisor in training functions as directed.
- Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.
- Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.
- Participates in company sponsored training as required.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Additional Responsibilities: Uses forklift or scissors lift to perform maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- Some industrial furnace or oven maintenance experience.
- Mechanical or Electrical skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently.
Working Conditions: Factory environment, may encounter dirt, dust, oil, processing chemicals and varying temperatures. Confined spaces and working outdoors.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing stairs and ladders.
- Considerable amount of walking and bending.
Hours: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm (required Lunch break)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
