What You’ll Do (aka The Fun Stuff!):
- Set up and operate fabricating machines (lasers, punches, brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, drill presses — the works!) to shape and assemble metal components
- Inspect workpieces with measuring tools to ensure perfect results — we like things just right
- Move parts into place, whether it’s hands-on, with hoists, or cranes — muscle and precision!
- Study blueprints and engineering drawings to plan your materials and process
- Lay out and examine metal stock for accuracy (because details matter)
- Use hand files, grinders, and cutting torches to remove high spots and cut bevels — smooth finishes, always!
The Skills & Superpowers We’re Looking For:
- Experience with machines and tools: setup, use, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Know-how in materials, methods, and construction of metal products
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Logic and reasoning skills to solve puzzles and problems as they come up
- Solid teamwork — we work better together!
- Keep safety top of mind (because safety is cool!)
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or a hands-on role involving machinery
- Ability to lift 65 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Preferred Qualifications (Even Better If…):
- Technical training or certification in fabrication/welding
- Experience operating CNC machines
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or similar systems
- OSHA/safety training
