Location: Monroe, NC, United States
Compensation: Up to $80,000 annually
Basic Job Functions for Industrial Maintenance:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Second Shift: 4p-1a Monday - Friday
- Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
- MIG welding/stick welding using 7018
- Change liners, grates, hammers, etc.
- Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
- Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned
- Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects
Minimum Qualifications for Industrial Maintenance:
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Flexible working overtime in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work standing or walking for up to 10 hours per day.
Preferred Qualifications for Industrial Maintenance:
- 1-year previous maintenance/welding experience preferred.
