Job description
Inside Sales Specialist will have hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the sales process. They will ensure that all sales support tasks are properly implemented, monitored, and report results. Shields sellers from detail-oriented administrative tasks that impede proactive, outbound efforts to create revenue. Assists inside and outside sales who directly engage with existing and potential customers. Tasks include, but are not limited to providing customer solutions, explaining features & benefits, handling customer concerns & objections. Which will include in-person, telephone, and written communication platforms.
Essential Functions:
- Endeavors to always keep the business culture’s guiding principles intact.
- Assists inside sales supervisors in all daily sales operations to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Assists in client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle.
- Stays up to date on product knowledge, industry trends, services & customer development
- Performs all customer service-related tasks, e.g., phone handling, greeting and directing foot traffic, etc.
- Collaborate with production to maintain, update the daily delivery schedule and keep customers informed.
- Communicates customer needs, grievances, and new product ideas in a timely manner.
- Regularly update the CRM, Lead tracking, forecasting, POS, sales reports and other administrative tasks.
- Assists with scheduling sales & delivery appointments as needed.
- Attend trade & customer house shows as needed. Assists in organizing company open house events.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to clearly and effectively communicate.
- Critical thinking skills and strong situational awareness are a must.
- Ability to read customer paperwork and understand instructions.
- 2 years’ experience in a sales, marketing, or business development role preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. As well as other selling or marketing automation tools. Experience with SAP a plus.
- Basic math skills with the ability to convert fractions to decimals.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds, stand, bend, twist, and stoop during shift.
- Previous Metal Building or Roofing industry experience, a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Education & Experience:
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years inside business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success.
- 2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales role (business to business) preferred
