Summary
Reporting to the IT Manager, who provides direction and project management support, the IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance to our staff. Duties will include ensuring optimal use of our hardware and software technologies, enhancing system performance, and securing data. You will also be required to advise on IT equipment upgrades, create power apps for automation with repetitive tasks using SQL, MS Power BI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Consulting with site managers and other departments as required.
- Providing IT assistance to staff and customers.
- Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
- Resolving logged errors in a timely manner.
- Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics.
- Updating computer software. as well as upgrading hardware and systems.
- Maintaining databases and ensuring system security.
- Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.
- Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support.
- Investigate how Power Apps can assist users with everyday tasks.
- Maintain and administer PLEX ERP system.
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience / Education

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning
- Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize work in a high-pressure environment
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
- Proficiency in company IT helpdesk software.
- Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
- Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, information technology or related field
- PLEX ERP knowledge a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience as an IT support specialist.
- Previous high-volume manufacturing / automotive experience preferred
