About the Role:
The Aerospace Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Production Manager will be responsible for managing our MRO Production Department and staff. This individual will report directly to our VP of Operations. Their key responsibilities will include managing the production team, providing technical support, meeting production demand deadlines, troubleshooting issues, and developing solutions to improve department processing performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of special processing, materials, and equipment
- Metal cleaning, blasting, descaling, and coating removal
- 3 years supervisory/managerial experience required.
- Must be flexible with work schedule.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Essential Duties:
- Create a daily production schedule for each processing line and review with operators and staff.
- Examine production schedules and estimate worker hours requirements for completion.
- Communicate with customers, as needed, supplying updates on part status.
- Provide technical support to the production team for processing-related issues.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching and/or aids in coordination of training.
- Implement and enforce all environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance.
- Interpret specifications and work orders to workers and effectively delegates/assigns duties.
- Participate in Quality Corrective Action Requests and team audits.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance to our Quality systems and documents.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Monitor the condition of equipment and recommend repairs or replacement, as necessary.
- Ensure quality standards set by company and customers are met.
- Define roles and responsibilities for employees, authority, and accountability for individuals’ actions and set measurable goals, review performance, and provide feedback.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
