We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Powder Coater – Batch Powder Coating Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying durable powder coatings to a variety of metal components using batch coating processes. Your expertise will ensure high-quality finishes, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Prepare metal parts and surfaces by cleaning, masking, blasting and sanding to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Operate batch powder coating equipment, including spray booths, curing ovens, and material handling systems.
- Apply powder coatings using airless paint spraying techniques with precision to achieve consistent finishes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for surface preparation and minor fabrication tasks.
- Manage materials handling with forklifts and cranes to move components efficiently within the production area.
- Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and finish quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles.
Experience
- Proven experience as a powder coater or in industrial painting within a manufacturing or construction setting with expertise in **Batch** ( non-line/conveyor) powder coating operations
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting related to coating equipment.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes, welding, machining is a plus.
- Strong background in **Masking techniques and Pre-cleaning/prep process**- this is a must!
- Ability to read work orders, blueprints or process sheets accurately.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and defect detection.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods
- Warehouse experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and process adjustments accurately.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
