Job Summary
Metal Arts, LLC is seeking an INDUSTRIAL PAINTER for the Structural Steel industry. Metal Arts is looking for leaders in our industry, who want to make an impact on a growing small business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces of large steel beams by cleaning, scrape, or wire wheel as required.
- Apply primers using spray system and touch up as needed with brushes.
- Follow coating specs and procedures per project requirements.
- Inspect finished work for coverage and finish quality.
- Mix and handle coatings, and solvents safely and efficiently.
- Maintain painting tools and work areas in clean, working condition in compliance with safety standards.
- Detail-oriented with ability to coat components for long-lasting protection and appearance.
- Assist in other areas as needed
- Follow all safety and PPE requirements.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other materials handling equipment safely to transport parts and materials
- Adhere to safety protocols related to industrial painting, welding, and use of hazardous materials
Experience
- Previous experience in industrial or structural painting preferred.
- Knowledge of coating systems (primers).
- Ability to read paint specs, blueprints or work instructions.
- Ability to use a tablet and have basic computer skills to track time on each job.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Physically able to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and a team player.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
