What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packager position at Metal Arc Inc?
Metal Arc, a manufacturer of high-quality steel laboratory and office furniture located in Fruitport, MI, has an opening for (1) full-time Packagers on 1st shift.
Summary of essential job functions
- Receive products and parts as they come down the assembly line
- Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies
- Hand package assembled product
- Use any hand tools necessary (i.e. shrink wrap, dollies, etc.)
- Quickly move your packaged product to the warehouse
- Ensure product for each order is grouped together
- Ensure stability of packaged product
- Pull damaged or ineffective equipment off the line
- Assist with assembly as needed
Abilities required
- Fast Moving/ Quick on Feet
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Comfort using necessary tools
- Ready to learn attitude
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
