Job Description:
Metairie Country Club is looking to hire an eager and motivated full-time greenskeeper to aid in all aspects of golf course maintenance. Under the direction of the Director of Agronomy, Golf Course Superintendent, and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, be able to perform all tasks assigned. This may range from raking bunkers to mowing greens. This position works an 8-hour shift Monday-Friday and rotating weekends of 4 hours. Starting time is 6 am Monday-Thursday and 5:30 am Friday-Sunday. We do work all holidays except Christmas and New Years Day. Holiday work is time and a half.
Job Duties Include:
- Operate a variety of golf course equipment.
- Driving carts
- Walk Behind Mowers
- Riding mowers
- Raking and cleaning bunkers.
- Pulling weeds.
- Edging cart paths, tree beds, and irrigation heads.
- Being able to take and follow directions from supervisors.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior golf course experience required but highly encouraged.
Physical Demands:
- Working in all elements.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and pulling more than 50 lbs.
