We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to engage with customers, manage cash handling, and support retail operations will be key to creating a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries or concerns.
- Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and care.
- Maintain knowledge of products and services to effectively assist customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and sales.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves as needed.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions and provide change accurately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cash handling is preferred.
- Familiarity with retail sales practices and customer service principles.
- Ability to operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently.
- Strong communication skills;
- Knowledge of retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
