Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mold Maintenance Technician to join our Tool Room team. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting injection molds to ensure optimal production performance and quality. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced with mold tooling, machining equipment, and preventative maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on all mold tools as required

Complete insert changes and tooling adjustments as needed

Extract broken bolts, water lines, and ejector pins

Disassemble molds to remove stuck components or plastic, then reassemble accurately

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues such as flash and non-conformance

Polish mirror-finished tools using diamond compounds and stones

Troubleshoot and repair heater manifold systems

Cut and grind ejector pins using mini grinders

Operate and maintain machining equipment including end mills and lathes

Accurately use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and measuring tape
Communication & Teamwork

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners

Strong communication skills across departments to ensure timely task completion

Ability to hear and respond to alarms in production and tool room environments
Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and work at a computer when needed

Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 30 pounds

Comfortable performing hands-on, physical work throughout the shift

Qualifications:
Required Skills & Qualifications
