Junior Account Executive / Account Executive
Location: Northampton, MA preferred (remote possible in US, Canada, UK, or Europe)
Reports To: VP of Sales
Job Summary
MetaComet Systems is seeking a motivated and organized Junior Account Executive (JAE) / Account Executive (AE) to support pipeline growth and manage sales opportunities across our core markets. This role will handle the full sales cycle for smaller and mid-market opportunities from lead qualification through close while supporting senior leadership on more complex deals.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new business opportunities through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, LinkedIn research, and industry networking
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect needs, workflows, and fit
- Deliver product demonstrations after training
- Prepare proposals and pricing using company tools and templates
- Manage the sales cycle for SMB and mid-market deals from initial contact through contract signature
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity data in HubSpot
- Escalate larger or more complex opportunities to the VP of Sales with complete deal information
- Support sales operations by updating pricing tools, preparing sales documents, and maintaining strong CRM hygiene
- Provide feedback on lead quality and market opportunities
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in SaaS sales, inside sales, SDR, BDR, or similar sales roles
- Demonstrated ability to qualify opportunities and support or close deals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable conducting video calls, presenting software, and speaking with prospective clients
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple opportunities at once
- Customer-focused, coachable, and eager to grow in a sales career
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into publishing, media, rights management, or similar industries
- Familiarity with royalty, licensing, or revenue-sharing workflows
- Experience with proposal tools such as PandaDoc or DocuSign
- Knowledge of sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPICED, or Challenger
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
