Strategic Business Development Partner — Pharma R&D / Clinical Trials AI
MetaBrain Labs is seeking a senior, highly connected business development professional to help commercialize a new generation of AI-agent technology for pharmaceutical R&D, CROs, decentralized clinical trials, eCOA/ePRO, digital biomarkers, and sensor-enabled research.
This is not a traditional sales role and not an entry-level business development position. We are looking for someone who already has meaningful relationships with decision-makers across pharma R&D, clinical development, CROs, DCT platforms, clinical technology, or digital health.
MetaBrain Labs has developed and patented a closed-loop AI-agent architecture that can engage research participants in real time based on:
- Sensor/device events
- Scheduled assessments
- Study workflow events
- Participant-initiated interactions
- Platform/API triggers
Agents can operate with or without sensors.
Applications include:
- Conversational voice delivery of eCOA/PRO instruments
- Real-time safety and efficacy-related data collection
- Sensor-triggered participant engagement
- Personalized physiological event monitoring
- Medication adherence and symptom monitoring
- Device support
- Protocol-driven intervention and escalation
- Structured, auditable clinical data capture
Our working demonstrations include an AI Agent Studio for configuring agents and a real-world neurological monitoring implementation using EEG/fNIRS, individualized baseline detection, confirmed-event collection, personalized machine learning, and alerting.
The right person likely has 10 years in one or more of the following:
- Pharmaceutical R&D / clinical development
- CRO business development
- DCT / eClinical / eCOA / ePRO
- Digital biomarkers or wearable technologies
- Clinical technology platforms
- Strategic partnerships with pharma sponsors
Most important: you already know the people we need to meet.
You understand how innovation enters pharma—not simply how to send cold emails. You can identify the right internal champion, create executive-level conversations, help shape the commercial opportunity, and move opportunities toward pilot, licensing, or strategic partnership.
This is initially a fractional, success-based opportunity, not a salaried position. Compensation is tied directly to business generated, with meaningful economics for the right person.
