Summary:
A Technical Artist is responsible for the technical aspects of art asset development. This entails working closely with Art and Engineering to develop and support the asset pipeline, animation and rigging tools, animation rigs, and real-time effects.
Batch processing at scale: Able to batch-process and polish 200 full-house 3D scenes (~30K assets) using coding scripts — requires strong technical/scripting ability beyond manual 3D work
High-quality offline rendering: Able to produce high-quality offline renders of simulation scenes, including fine-tuning lighting, materials, and camera setups for photorealistic output
Generative asset pipeline: Able to regenerate new scenes from existing assets and run generative pipelines to create new assets and fit them into new environments
Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with the engineering team for iterative improvements on assets, integrating feedback from sim evaluation results

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $59.29/hour – $74.11/hour.
