About the Team
The NPI (New Product Introduction) Technical Readiness team within Systems Strategy & Technology ensures that Meta's data center infrastructure is prepared for the rapid evolution of AI technology and hardware roadmaps. We partner closely with hardware engineering, data center design, and operational readiness teams to validate that new systems can be successfully deployed at scale.

Role Overview
We are seeking a junior-level Contingent Worker with a software engineering background to support hardware-to-data-center compatibility analysis. In this role, you will leverage Meta's internal AI tools to collect, organize, and analyze hardware specifications and data center specifications, assess compatibility, and generate recommendations for interconnection requirements. This is an ideal role for someone who combines technical software skills with curiosity about hardware infrastructure and data center systems.

Key Responsibilities
Spec Collection & Data Management: Gather and organize hardware specifications (compute, networking, storage, power, cooling) and data center infrastructure specifications (rack power capacity, cabling standards, network topology, physical layout constraints).
Compatibility Analysis: Use internal AI-powered tools to cross-reference hardware specs against data center requirements across electrical, thermal, mechanical, spatial, and other hardware compatibility dimensions, identifying potential gaps, conflicts, or constraints in deployment readiness.
Interconnection Recommendations: Analyze interconnection requirements (network cabling, power distribution, thermal envelopes, physical clearances) and produce compatibility assessments and recommendations for engineering teams.
AI Tool Utilization: Operate and optimize Meta's internal AI tools and platforms to automate data collection, spec parsing, and compatibility checks. Provide feedback to tool developers on accuracy, usability, and feature gaps.
Documentation & Reporting: Create clear, structured reports and dashboards summarizing compatibility findings, risk areas, and recommended actions for cross-functional stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware engineering, data center design, systems integration, and operational readiness teams to validate findings and support NPI milestone reviews.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
1–3 years of experience in software engineering, data analysis, or a technical operations role
Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language for data processing and automation
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work with complex technical specifications
Ability to quickly learn and effectively use new software tools and AI platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with data center infrastructure concepts (power, cooling, networking, rack architecture)
Experience with hardware specifications or technical documentation (e.g., spec sheets, design documents, CAD drawings)
Exposure to AI/ML tools, large language models, or automation frameworks
Understanding of networking fundamentals (Ethernet, fiber optics, interconnect topologies)
Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments
Knowledge of data visualization or dashboard tools

This posting is for a contract assignment with Tundra Technical Solutions to provide services to Meta.

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $58.07/hour – $72.59/hour.

Salary : $58 - $73
