Schedule: Saturday 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Sunday 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with bedside clinical experience to join our team providing compassionate care to a geriatric population under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This is a part-time, position at Padua Place in San Antonio, TX.

Padua Place is a home provided by The Missionary Servants of St. Anthony for retired priests and clergy and those religious needing more extensive compassionate care. This position is ideal for professionals looking to return to meaningful work in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct bedside nursing care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and supporting daily patient needs
• Collaborate with care team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Creates a positive environment that nourishes the residents psychological, social, and spiritual well-being and meets the emotional needs of the residents
• Maintains a positive and relaxed atmosphere which respects the dignity and human rights of each resident
• Document assessments, care provided, and any changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and wellness practices
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations
• Supervises CNA/NA on shift assigned
  
  

Qualifications:

• Active LVN license in the state of Texas
• Minimum 3 year of bedside experience (geriatric care preferred)
• Current BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Open to retired nurses with recent clinical experience and a passion for patient care
