Healthcare Benefits Navigator
Location: Catholic Diocese of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Job Type: Full-Time

Meta Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate Healthcare Benefits Navigator to support employees and health plan members of the Catholic Diocese of Tulsa.
This is not a clinical nursing position, and an RN or LPN license is not required.
We are looking for someone who understands how complicated healthcare can be and enjoys helping people work through benefits questions, provider issues, appointments, insurance requirements, and other barriers to receiving care.
The ideal candidate may come from an employee benefits, health insurance, medical office, patient advocacy, care coordination, provider relations, or healthcare navigation background.

About the Role
You will serve as a trusted, local resource for Diocese employees and their families—someone they can turn to when they need help understanding their benefits or navigating the healthcare system.
You will help members:
- Understand and use their health benefits
- Navigate insurance and provider networks
- Resolve healthcare access questions and barriers
- Locate physicians, specialists, and appropriate services
- Coordinate appointments and follow-up
- Understand referrals, prior authorizations, and other healthcare processes
- Connect with wellness programs and available resources
- Receive support following hospitalization or significant health events
This is a highly relationship-driven role requiring strong communication, persistence, organization, and follow-through.
What You’ll Do
Benefits Navigation & Member Advocacy
- Help members understand their healthcare benefits and available resources
- Assist with questions involving coverage, providers, referrals, prior authorizations, and access to care
- Advocate for members when they encounter challenges navigating the healthcare system
- Help members identify appropriate in-network providers and services
- Follow issues through to resolution rather than simply providing information
Member Support
- Build trusted relationships through proactive outreach and ongoing communication
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for members who need assistance
- Help coordinate medical and specialist appointments when needed
- Provide additional support following hospitalizations or major health events
- Connect members with transportation, home support, wellness, and community resources
Collaboration & Follow-Through
- Work closely with Meta Care's pharmacists, nutritionists, social workers, care coordinators, and leadership team
- Track member needs and ensure open items receive appropriate follow-up
- Participate in client and internal team meetings
- Support member education and engagement initiatives
- Maintain timely documentation and strict confidentiality

Clinical experience is welcomed but not required. Candidates with backgrounds as an MA, CNA, LPN, or RN are encouraged to apply, but the most important qualifications are healthcare knowledge, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and a genuine desire to advocate for others.
