Job position: PLC Programmer
Job description
Only candidates with PLC/Ladder Logic programming training and experience will be considered with the exception of candidates possessing strong networking/server experience who may be considered on a case-by-case basis, possibly at a lower rate of compensation.
M.E.T. is seeking a PLC/Ladder Logic Programmer with at least 2 years of experience. Applicants must be able to write and troubleshoot ladder logic/PLC programs for: duplex and triplex pump control stations, water and wastewater plants, and canal gate control stations.
The ideal candidate will possess education/certification/experience in:
Preferred Skills
- Programming Allen-Bradley software (Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk Optix, FactoryTalk View)
- Experience with HMI/graphics software
- Troubleshooting
- Ability to read CAD drawings
Required Skills
- Programming in competitive brands of PLC’s, OIT’s, HMI’s
- Adaptability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Radio networks
- Ethernet networks and servers
- Ability to self-educate
- Fiber optics installation/testing/termination to patch panels
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage small to medium-sized projects.
- Install panels and instrumentation.
- Perform service trips to troubleshoot, repair, and replace instrumentation or faulty panel equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights
