Operations/Production Support Technician

The Operations/Production Support Technician performs the sanitation and quality control efforts of various Operations areas to control Food Safety Risks within the production environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform cleaning tasks/assignments to standards
• Frequently perform production floor based sanitation practices
• Troubleshoot processing and quality problems that occur
• Participate in the development of special processes to improve quality and efficiency
• May contribute to the RCA/CAPA investigation of customer complaints and/or issues
• Follows all quality, safety, and company protocols & procedures
• Leads Operations staff in the implementation of Quality Systems requirements
• Other duties and special projects as needed 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production environment (food or ingredient industry)
• Introductory knowledge/exposure to HACCP, FSMA, GFSI standards
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Initiative and proactive attitude 
• Multi-tasking is critical to this position 
• Must be able to be exposed to and perform sensory evaluation on a variety of flavor and fragrance products, essential oils, and raw materials 
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly desired
• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English; ability to communicate verbally with some proficiency in Spanish is desirable
