THE ROLE
The selected candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end documentation and follow-up of US import operations, with a strong focus on customs compliance and duty recovery.
The role is expected to require two days a week for a period of two months, with the possibility of renewal.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and documenting all Messika Inc. US import entries for year 2025
- Identifying eligible customs entries for IEEPA duty recovery
- Preparing and managing all necessary steps and supporting documentation required for duty refund claims
- Liaising and coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers to:
- Retrieve missing import documentation
- Clarify discrepancies on customs entries or duty payments
- Ensuring consistency and completeness of the documentation used for claims
- Updating and structuring the historical import and customs archives accordingly
- Maintaining clear tracking and reporting of progress throughout the assignment
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven experience with US import processes and customs declarations
Solid understanding of:
- US Customs entry procedures
- Duty payment mechanisms and refund processes (including IEEPA-related duties)
- Comfortable working with customs documentation (CBP entry summaries, invoices, broker statements, etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously, with a high level of accuracy and organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiar with ERP systems (Netsuite, SAP, etc.)
