Warehouse Assistant and Driver

Job Overview:

Messer Truck and Van is seeking a versatile and dependable individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver, Parts Runner, Warehouse Assistant, and General Laborer. In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of parts to our customers, assisting in warehouse operations, running parts to various job sites, and providing general labor support when needed. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Driver:

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver parts and supplies to customers, vendors, and job sites.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Handle and transport products in a secure and safe manner.
• Maintain delivery logs and ensure proper documentation is provided for each delivery.

Parts Runner:

• Retrieve parts from the warehouse and transport them to various locations, including job sites or other departments.
• Assist technicians and service staff in gathering parts as needed.
• Ensure parts are accurately identified and delivered in a timely manner.

Warehouse Assistant:

• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, sorting, and organizing parts and materials.
• Stock shelves, label inventory, and prepare items for delivery.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing parts are properly handled and documented.
• Keep warehouse area clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.

General Laborer:

• Provide hands-on assistance with various warehouse and shop duties as needed.
• Help load/unload deliveries and parts.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and minor repairs as directed.
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance tasks around the facility.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery, or general labor role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and tools is a plus.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand, bend, squat, and lift for extended periods of time.
• Ability to handle, carry, and transport heavy materials.
• Must be comfortable operating a variety of warehouse equipment, including trucks and forklifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
