The Expeditor, Capital Projects, is responsible for tracking and reporting on the status of equipment purchases after the PO has been placed. They will regularly be in contact with all vendors to receive reports on progress. This will include the appropriate inspections. The efforts of the expeditor feed directly into the project planning process.

Principal Responsibilities
- Contact suppliers, follow up orders, verify goods status, and determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers of potential delays.
- Prepare project expediting report.
- Host meetings with suppliers to address delays , reinforce delivery expectations and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Track and report purchase order performance, focusing on delivery compliance, and escalate issues to management and stakeholders.
- Performs receipt verification, and storage preparation for urgent priority material requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers to reduce expediting fees, storage fees and secure favorable delivery terms.
- Locates critical items required for the project and coordinate with Project Managers to advance project time frames.
- Align expediting activities with project goals through participation in planning meetings.
- May require travel to supplier manufacturing facilities for critical progress reviews, less than 10%

- Functional Skills:
- Reporting
- Data management
- Minimum undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or relevant business with progressively increasing responsibilities required
- At least 2 years in an expediting role or procurement activities for industrial plants or construction.
- Understand P2P process and have the experience of using various procurement technologies and tools
- Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
- Six Sigma or Lean Tools expertise desired
