- To assist in clerical duties and instructional responsibilities working under the direction of the Inclusion Teacher.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Texas Educational Aide Certificate
- Ability to work with children with disabilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- None… prior experience working with children with learning disabilities preferred.
- Assist classroom teachers in preparation of classroom teaching materials and bulletin boards.
- Operate standard office machines.
- Set up and operate audio-visual equipment and computers.
- Assist with the instructional program under the direct supervision of a certified teacher.
- Work with an individual student and/or a small group of students
- reinforcing academic, behavioral, or development skills.
- Perform routine clerical tasks, data collection, and grading under the direction and supervision of a certified teacher.
- Assist assessment team by administering achievement and/or development tests.
- Help manage the behavior of assigned students.
- Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of assigned students.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Other School Health and Related Services (SHARS) duties as assigned

- Use common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Writing simple correspondence and effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
