JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Spa and maintaining an efficient and guest service oriented facility. Responsible for checking guests in and out and booking appointments by phone and in person. This role includes responsibly serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with all health and safety regulations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A self-starter who can work and make sound decisions independently. This supervisor must have a minimum of two (2) years customer service experience. This supervisor must be able handle multiple tasks; must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Excellent computer and telephone etiquette skills are necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead, motivate, coach and assign tasks to team members.
- Adjust assignments and staffing schedules or perform the work yourself if the situation requires it.
- Implement procedures to improve productivity and customer service.
- Responsible for opening and closing procedures.
- Consistent and effective communication with department management.
- Train new team members with policies and procedures.
- Print, count, adjust quantities in computer monthly inventories and send to accounting.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings, as assigned.
- Prepare product baskets for therapist body care treatments.
- Remove blocks on schedule.
- Ring up and oversee scheduling of group bookings.
- Inventory and order office supplies.
- Offer and serve complimentary or for-purchase alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Check the identification of guests who appear under 30 to ensure they are of legal drinking age.
- Monitor guests for visible signs of intoxication and adhere to responsible serving practices, including refusing service when appropriate.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols for the spa and beverage service.
- Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:
- Remember and use guests’ name whenever possible. Treat each guest as a VIP.
- Cover shifts for fellow team members in emergency situations.
- Recognize and reinforce the positive attributes of fellow team members.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Walking; standing; bending; carrying light items such as papers, books, small parts, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequent exposure to natural, organic, or chemically produced products that encompasses all supplies used and stored at any given time in the Spa or Salon for services. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. This is a work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
