MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver’s License, and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).
JOB SUMMARY:
Lead production crew in the set up and tear down of production sets for all Mesquite Gaming properties. Set up and mix audio for all sizes and types of live performances from Front of House or Monitors. Install, maintain and repair sound equipment, mixing boards, outboard gear and microphones. Install, maintain and repair lighting equipment, lamps, gels, & cords.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience, including experience in installation, required. Must have working knowledge of mixing consoles and outboard gear. Must have the ability to lead production crew form general equipment maintenance to live productions. Must have general working knowledge of lighting, electrical power hook ups, installation of lighting equipment and overall lighting design. Must have general working knowledge of audio/visual equipment including projectors, portable audio and computer set ups for conventions/meetings, presentations, etc. Must have general knowledge of rigging and installation of outdoor and temporary stage truss including audio and lighting systems. Must have the ability to operate various lifts and movers. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment. Must be able to provide positive and friendly interaction with talent, guests, and coworkers. Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Repair or replace microphone, a/c or data link cable.
- Perform routine maintenance on sound and lighting. Perform general maintenance on stage, sound and light booths.
- Design sound systems, operate mixing board, and monitor sound room equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on all equipment.
- Understand and comply with all department policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work requires various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs on a recurring basis. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
WORK CONDITIONS:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with irritant chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, glasses, hard hats, gloves and boots.Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals. The work is performed indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures. The work environment involves exposure to second hand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
