This is a full-time, on-site role located in the San Francisco Bay Area for an AWOS Field Service Technician. The technician will install, service, and maintain Automated Weather Observing Systems and other precision equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing hardware, performing system calibrations and tests, compiling service reports, and ensuring compliance with FAA standards and procedures. Collaboration with team members and providing technical support to customers are key aspects of the role.
- Technical skills in hardware installation, system integration, and troubleshooting
- Experience with calibration, testing, and maintenance of technical equipment
- Understanding of meteorological or environmental monitoring systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document reports effectively
- Proficiency with tools, safety procedures, and equipment handling
- Ability to work on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area and travel to installation sites as needed
