Duties
- Deliver prepared food orders from the kitchen to guest tables efficiently and accurately, ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
- Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of food trays and equipment using safe lifting practices to support smooth service flow.
- Support kitchen staff by transporting ingredients or supplies as needed, ensuring timely food preparation and service.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate order delivery and address guest needs promptly.
- Maintain a clean work environment by regularly cleaning service stations and assisting with general restaurant sanitation duties.
- Use POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders when necessary and assist in guest service activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in food running, serving, or other food service roles within restaurants or hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper manual handling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and guests in person.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices during busy service periods.
- Familiarity with restaurant technology such as POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is preferred.
- Previous experience in banquet service or hotel hospitality enhances your ability to adapt quickly in diverse settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent guest service skills.
