POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the company’s payroll team to include but not limited to processing domestic, international and affiliated entity payrolls, performing and supervising payroll compliance, compiling and distributing financial reports and schedules, participating in the Company’s monthly close cycle. Also responsible for preparing payroll-related journal entries, executive and other related ad hoc reporting, and performing account analysis and reconciliations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise and perform all domestic and international payroll functions, including processing timecards, processing multiple domestic and international payrolls, maintaining payroll records, and verifying the accuracy of payroll data.
• Manage the activities of the payroll function. Ensure the production of includes PTO accruals, overtime and withholding status and meets all government reporting requirements for taxes, withholding and employer contributions.
• Manage payroll schedule, workload, interactions with the general ledger group and Human Resources, and responses to inquiries from other departments and employees company-wide.
• Establish development goals and monitor staff performance, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and provide continuous feedback and recognition on performance.
• Supervise preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc analyses and reports as needed.
• Manage the development and implementation of process changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll function. Establish new payroll systems and procedures for new legal entities as needed.
• Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, compile and distribute reports, establish and maintain payroll-related policies and procedures, ensure payroll compliance, and support internal and external audits. Calculate and record payroll related accruals including vacation and bonus, and ensure approved expense report payments are processed in a timely manner.
• Prepare wire requests and provide proper coding to Accounts Payable for all payroll-related wires.
• Responsible for the preparation of reports and payments for employer and employee paid costs such as domestic 401(k), international payroll taxes, international payroll services, and similar types of payroll and pension payments.
• Responsible for ensuring all statutory reporting and payment deadlines are met.
• Interpret company policies to ensure payroll procedures are compliant with federal, state and local laws and regulations. Report issues as necessary.
• Manage relationships with multiple third-party payroll processing companies in international jurisdictions.
• Specific duties could vary depending upon departmental requirements.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business related discipline (Business, Accounting, Finance, HR, etc.) is required.
• A minimum of seven years of payroll or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of three to five years of management experience. Management experience may come in the form of direct staff supervision as well as management of an overall program or process.
• Experience working with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) payroll system is strongly desired.
• Experience processing multi-state and international payroll.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other professional certifications a plus.

• Strong background in compliance with payroll taxes, labor laws, and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage payroll for medium to large employee populations.
• Successful experience working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines while managing competing demands.
• A high level of confidence, integrity, interpersonal skills, and a professional presence for effectively interacting effectively and diplomatically with individuals at all levels of the company, as well as externally both domestic and internationally.
• Solid leadership skills with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of staff management practices and processes and the ability to establish accountabilities and expectations and manage performance to achieve results.
• Ability to manage a team with a hands-on approach.
• Ability to handle information of a confidential nature and ensure that such information is secured and maintained in an appropriate manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Strong analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to gather and evaluate complex data and information and develop a recommendation and plan of action.
Salary : $101,400 - $154,650
