Job Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support and performing a variety of Human Resources functions. This position ensures effective use of plans, policies and procedures and maintains positive employee relations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists Human Resources Director and Management on employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Processes required new hire paperwork, transfers, pay increases, and other employment matters.
- Enters new employee hires in the system and reports to corresponding agencies.
- Terminates employees in computer systems.
- Maintains computer systems by updating and entering data.
- Maintains and stores records of personnel files, identifies missing information, and updates files to include all relevant data.
- Responds to employee questions and provides outstanding customer service.
- Assists with day-to-day HR operations.
- Collaborates with team members to enhance employee engagement.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Participates in departmental staff meetings
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Two years of human resources support experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Willing and able to travel to all company locations in El Paso, TX, Santa Teresa, NM and Las Cruces, NM, as needed.
