Job Summary

The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for sourcing and securing motor carriers that meet the company’s profit, service, and safety objectives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the company achieves the profit margin objective for each transaction.
• Guarantee on-time service levels are at 97% or higher.
• Demonstrate, revere, and protect the company’s Vision, Values, and Mission.
• Assign customer loads to pre-qualified carriers in a timely and efficient manner, based on the company's carrier qualification standards.
• Properly manage all details, information, and paperwork associated with each load or customer order to ensure accurate billing and payment.
• Practice sound fiscal control of all company expenditures.
• Practice and maintain appropriate confidentiality with carriers as it pertains to our customer list, revenues, and rates.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience (Preferred, not required).
• Strong Sales and Customer Relationship Management mentality.
• Basic Geography, including the locations of the 48 continental states and Canada. Ability to use postal code to locate the corresponding region of the country.
• A thorough understanding of the Transportation and Logistics industry (Preferred).
  
  

Salary

• $45,000 base
• Performance Bonus: Eligible for monthly performance-based bonus payouts upon the successful completion of established tier benchmarks (covering lane growth, margin retention, and carrier service reliability)
