The Business Analyst will be responsible for managing the relationship between the IT team and the business unit they are supporting. They are focused on improving the customer experience by gathering feedback from stakeholders and working to develop a clear strategy for improvement.

Today, Mesilla Valley Transportation is one of the largest locally-owned Truck Load carriers in the U.S. We specialize in time-sensitive service between major manufacturing areas within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico borders.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for managing the relationship between the IT team and the business unit they are supporting. They are focused on improving the customer experience by gathering feedback from stakeholders and working to develop a clear strategy for improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Understand business requirements and translate the same into user stories for agile development.
- Partner with internal business owners and external partners to understand new business opportunities and define functional requirements.
- Assist in developing comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards, to include but not limited to basic system architectural diagrams/wireframes, concepts of operations, and monthly status reports.
- Create high-level briefings and communications materials for drivers, management, and executive stakeholders.
- Support a continuous improvement process by providing recommendations on improving products, services, and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field (preferred).
- Two (2) years of relevant experience (Preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- One (1) year of transportation and/or logistics experience (preferred).
- Experience in an agile delivery environment a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of business intelligence tools, databases, and software such as SQL, Excel, PowerBI, and other data analysis tools.
