Position Title: Psychiatry Chief Medical Officer / CMO
Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Mesilla Valley Hospital, a 120-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, invites skilled psychiatrists to join our team in the vibrant city of Las Cruces, NM. Since 1987, we have been dedicated to providing diverse inpatient, residential, and partial hospital programs for adolescents, adults, and seniors. Proudly serving Las Cruces, surrounding areas, Western Texas, and Arizona, we specialize in mental health and drug and alcohol addiction services.
Details
- Clinical / Admin split: 50/50
- Type: Full-time, employed W-2 position.
- Manageable and sustainable caseload of 12 patients per day.
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Lead treatment teams and provide daily care for adult patients.
- Flexible Monday-Friday schedule — Open to hybrid in-person remote arrangement.
- Days-only position with minimal call/weekends.
- Collaborate with residents, fellows, and medical students from Texas Tech El Paso.

Qualifications
- MD/DO degree from an accredited program.
- BE/BC in Psychiatry.
- Leadership appointment requires 3 years prior medical team leadership experience.
- Licensed to practice in the State of NM or ability to obtain an NM medical license.
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
