Meshbesher and Spence LTD is seeking an experienced workers ‘compensation paralegal with at least 2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to handle various tasks at one time, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have great time management, professional communication skills and organizational skills. Candidate must be able to work independently and have a desire to assume significant responsibility.
- Providing legal support to 1-2 attorneys
- Managing client files
- Drafting legal pleadings, correspondence, and other documents as directed
- Filing pleadings and other documents
- Monitoring case schedules and filing deadlines
- Managing attorney(s) schedule
- Preparing discovery requests and responses
- Preparing medical and wage record requests
- Assisting in trial preparation
- Responding to inquiries from and interacting with clients, counsel, and witnesses
- Organizing and maintaining case files and documentation, electronically
- Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
