Overview
Mesh is expanding our accounting team and we’re looking for a hands-on Accountant to help drive the growth and efficiency of our financial operations. In this role, you’ll take ownership of everything from reconciliations and journal entries to invoicing, payments, and financial reporting — ensuring accuracy across both crypto and fiat assets.
You’ll play a key role in shaping scalable financial systems, strengthening internal controls, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities to optimize costs and processes. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, make a tangible impact on a fast-growing company, and gain deep exposure to the rapidly evolving crypto industry.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations (bank, wallet, and exchange), and variance analysis to ensure accurate crypto and fiat reporting.
- Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections while maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with audits and help strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor and analyze expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance financial operations, streamline systems, and implement scalable automation as the company grows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of hands-on accounting experience with working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax, and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively across teams.
- Growth mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly evolving company.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in fintech, crypto, SaaS, or payments.
- CPA certification
